2025 Information
  • Gippsland Soccer League Round 1 – Sunday 4th May
  • Pre Season training will continue throughout School Holidays unless coach unavailability
  • School Holidays – 7th April to 18th April.  Easter 18th April to 21st April.  Anzac Day 25th April

Preseason start dates:

Training is run on both Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Bellbird Park.  Start dates outlined below:

  • U12s – 4th February
  • U14s – 28th January
  • U17s – 28th January
  • U12 Girls – 4th February
  • U15 Girls – 4th February
  • Women – 21st January (Tuesday’s only until 4th February)
  • Men – 21st January (Tuesday’s only until 4th February)
 
 
Training Nights and Times
  • U12s Mixed – Tues/Thu 530pm to 6:30pm 
  • U14s Mixed – Tues/Thu 530pm to 6:45pm 
  • U12 and U15 Girls – Tues/Thu 530pm to 6:30pm
  • U17 Mixed – Tues/Thu 5:30pm to 6:45pm 
  • Senior Women – Tues/Thu 7pm to 8:30pm 
  • Senior Men/Reserves – Tue/Thu 7pm to 8:30pm 
Mini Roos 2025 information (U6, U8, U10) 
Program Dates:
  • Free Come and Try 15th April, 22nd April and 29th April. More information will be published in February
  • Mini Roos season starts on Saturday 3rd May
  • Mini Roos Presentation day 6th September
  • Training sessions will be run on a Wednesday evening from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and Saturday mornings.

U6 – Born 2019 2020
U8 – Born 2017 2018
U10 – Born 2015 2016
U12 – Born 2013 2014
U12 Girls – Born 2015, 2014, 2013
U14 – Born 2011 2012
U15 Girls – 2010, 2011, 2012
U17 – Born 2008 2009 2010

 
 
U12 and U14 team allocation – children will be allocated into teams in 2025 generally based on their age. 
For example, for the U14s: Players aged 13 allocated in one team and players aged 14 in the other team (bottom age play in one team and top age play in the other team). The coach and junior coordinator will coordinate this task and make adjustments where necessary to balance the numbers in both teams
Siblings are also taken into account when determining teams.

– Game Day – Mini Roos (mixed) play Saturday mornings while U12s (mixed) and U14s (mixed), U17s,  Reserves, Women and Seniors play Sundays. Metro Teams also play on Sunday
-Training Sessions are Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Bellbird Park
– Coaches participate in FV Coach Training Programs
– Drouin Dragons have access to 4 pitches including 2 dedicated main pitches that can be used year round. All Pitches are located at Bellbird park in Drouin
– Executive Committee, General Committee and Coaches are dedicated parents who have Juniors playing at Drouin Dragons
– DDSC hosts major events such as the 2024 GSL Grand Final, 2018 Arkadian Homes Mini Roos Gala Day and the 2019 Arkadian Homes Girls Gala Day
